Retainers

Clients may be required to provide a retainer deposit before legal services begin. Retainers are held in trust in accordance with the rules governing lawyers in Ontario.

Billing

Legal services are billed based on time spent, disbursements, and applicable taxes as outlined in the retainer agreement.

Payments

Payments may be made by credit card, debit, e-transfer, or other accepted methods. Credit-card payments are processed through a secure payment portal.

Refunds

Unused retainer funds held in trust will be returned to the client upon completion or termination of legal services, subject to payment of outstanding fees and disbursements.

Payments made toward invoices for services already rendered are generally non-refundable.

Currency

All payments are processed in Canadian dollars (CAD).
